Exciting News!!!!

Change is in the AIR...

Well…in case you couldn't guess from the pictures, I'm moving to Provo for the 2014-2015 school year!!! I have accepted a teaching job up there and I'm super excited about it! I will be a fifth grade teacher at Freedom Academy. This is a change that I really need in my life right now. I'm excited to see where this new adventure will take me. I'm also super scared, because this is a really BIG change!
If you know me at all, you'll know that I HATE CHANGE. But I've been sorta stuck in a rut for the last few years. I love my life and all of the people in it. But I've been very unhappy with some things in my life. And in order to be happy again, I felt like I needed to start fresh. So I'm selling my house, moving to Provo, and starting over. It will be really hard to leave my friends behind, but I need to do this for me. So…Ready, Set, Go! Change!

Thinner Winner #8

Well guys. It's been an okay week. I've sort of reached a slump in my weight loss. This is the point where I usually give up. But this time I won't be giving up because I'm in the "Thinner Winner" weight loss challenge. The challenge only goes for two more weeks and it's not likely I'm winning any of that money. But it is likely that I'll keep trying!!!
I've decided that this is a really hard time of year to start a weight loss challenge. This is the point in the school year where I grab food on my way home from work extremely often because I'm just that tired!!! So that has made losing weight really hard. I wish I had the time (or the energy) to make some freezer meals. Those have been really helpful in the past. Oh well. I'll do my best. I'll be careful about what I eat & try to exercise at least a few nights per week.
Anyways...for my results... Last week I gained TWO pounds. So this week I lost half a pound. So I went down …

Thinner Winner #7

Okay. It's taken me awhile to get this posted. (Next week's weigh in is tomorrow) Mostly because of my depressing results... I gained two pounds, ugh!!! This is a really hard time of year to do this. Work is super crazy this time of year, I have things going on pretty much every night, and I'm always exhausted!! Because of those reasons it's hard to find time to make good meals, and it's also hard to find gym time. So I'll work hard these last few weeks and hope I can keep losing pounds. It's so discouraging to gain weight!!!!

Getting my craft on...

I was pretty sad over the weekend. I was expecting a pretty big phone call on Friday and it never came. So a great friend of mine, who knows me all too well, took me to the craft store on Saturday. She thought it'd be fun if we found a craft to work on in order to cheer me up. Well, we were in there for entirely too long looking at a million different project possibilities. Eventually I chose a project and she decided not to do one. Oh well…it worked out! I did my craft while she made lunch. It would've been more fun if she did a project with me. But it was still fun. Crafting is very therapeutic for me. So I crafted and when I was done I felt so much better. And now I have a few new cute crafts for my house. Yay!!
So here in St. George we have this store called Wood Creatiions. When you go in the store there is a sample made up of each craft and then all the supplies are ready for you. It makes it hard…because you want to make it ALL!!

General Conference

As many of you know, I'm a Mormon. I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This weekend was general conference weekend!!! During general conference weekend, members of the church (and anyone else who'd like) have the opportunity to listen to the prophets of our church speak to us from a pulpit. I really love conference weekend. I always feel so inspired! As I listened to conference throughout the weekend, I felt inspired and uplifted. But this morning the session especially spoke to me. I felt that every talk was for me. I heard all of the things that I felt I needed to hear. It was the perfect thing for me right now to get through some trials that I'm going through. I've had a lot going on for the past month, tons of big life decisions that I'm trying to make! I'm so grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!! What a truly amazing church led by God!
My favorite quote of the weekend. Exactly what I…
