Yard Sale galore....

Image
Moving is really hard work. And it really makes you realize that you have a ton of stuff! And you also realize that you don't want to pack and move all of this stuff. So, back in March when I was interviewing and hoping to get a job, I had a yard sale. I sold all of my first grade teaching supplies that I've been holding on to "in case I teach first grade again". I sold home decor, some furniture, and basically a little bit of everything. It was really successful and made a good chunk of money. Then in April, after I got a job offer, I started selling things online. That's more work than a yard sale, but you usually get more money that way. So I figured it was worth it. Then in May, the weekend before I moved out of my house, some neighbor girls and I had another yard sale. We made some pretty sweet signs! I wasn't as successful at that sale, but I still made out pretty good. And ofcourse, I took the unsold items to D.I. The less I have to pack and move the b…

My house...

Well…my house went up for sale this week. I'm about a month shy of living in my house for five years! I have loved my house. It's been the perfect house for me. Part of me was in denial about selling it. So I waited until I was absolutely sure I had a job in Provo before calling a realtor about selling my house. But once I did, wow, things have gone fast. Last Monday (April 28th) I called a realtor. I was referred to this realtor, Jeremy Larkin of the Larkin Group, by my sister Megan who used him when she and her hubby needed to sell their house. He came highly recommended! By the time I met him in his office on Wednesday he already had things rolling. He told me that it'd take about 10-14 days to get my house on the market. I told him the sooner the better since I want it sold by the first of June. So…my house went up for sale in less than a week! The following Monday (May 5th) they hung up the "for sale" sign. I didn't realize that would be there so soon. …

Thinner Winner has come to an end...

Sorry that this is a little blurry :(
I made this collage the other day with a picture taken from Day 1 of the "Thinner Winner" challenge, and a picture taken on the last day of the challenge. I was shocked to see the difference! I lost the most inches out of anyone in the challenge. But I had no idea that I looked so different! Wow…the inches are helping. I'm so proud of myself! I hope those inches keep falling off of my waist and belly!!! I will be a new woman! :)

Thinner Winner #9

Well, this is a few days late. Sorry about that! Final weigh-in was last Saturday, May 3rd. This was a two month challenge and I did pretty good overall. I ofcourse would like to have done better, but I'm learning patience (again). I just want instant results…get rid of the fat and have the body I want. But that's not how it works. :( So I want to share my final results so you can see how far I've come. I will continue this journey as I know I have a long ways to go. With some major life changes, this summer will be crazy. (Selling a house, moving out of a house, moving to Colorado for about two months, helping my sis with her new baby (and ofcourse her other two little ones), moving to a new city, finding a place to live in that city, moving into and getting settled into that new place, moving into and setting up a new classroom, traveling to attend trainings for my new job…just to name a few) But I'm going to do the very best I can! I have to say, although I didn…
